Potty training video that both children and parents can enjoy

This is old, but I had never seen the subtitled version before.

It's hysterical.

I'll translate that last part, basically the kid pushes the button and it asks, do you gotta pee or poop. He says, 'hmm, I think I gotta poop'...and the music plays and he does his straining to the beat.

Japanese society is EXTREMELY open about what goes on in the bathroom. I cannot count the number of times I get detailed, and I mean detailed!, explanations about my in-laws bowel movements. And half of these conversations happen at the dinner table. *gag*

That tiger (Shimajiro) is an icon here. When Julyan was little all his friends had them. You pay money every month and you get the doll (a kind of hand puppet the parents use to instruct their youngins), a video, book and stuff. Each month there are different lessons depeneding on the age of the child. It goes through teaching them all sorts of stuff, like greetings, games, other societal rules.

Fascinating but I didn't want to be one of those mothers at the park with a tiger on her hand talking through closed mouth to my child, 'So what do you say to your little friend when they offer you a piece of cake?'.

One of the fist times my parents came to visit my mom caught a similar show for kids (they talk, sing and dance about poop more than you could possible imagine). Her face turned white and she called for me, 'Is that a little pieced of shit that just jumped out of the toilet and is now dancing around with that toddler?'

Yes, mom. Yes it is.

Really bizarre, I had kinda used context clues before to figure it out but I was way off. When I have kids, they are definatly going to see this.

Oh and I hope you don't mind a little GB for a friend.
